We have quite a lot going on this month. Last weekend was my birthday and some of my UT freinds came in town. It was a WONDERFUL treat! Not that Robert and Reese didn't do a great job of treating me ;) but I forget how much I love those girls. They are always so sweet to Reese and she definately shows out for them. She was passing out kisses left and right. I can't wait until they start to have kids =)
This week we are packing up! We are leaving our cozy little apartment just to move across town but boy do we have a lot of stuff!! I've tried to go through things as I pack which makes it an even bigger job but hopefully it will make unpacking not so dreadful. Once we get settled in we want visitors! Speaking of...Nicole and Cabe are coming to visit for their fall break and we are so so excited! I'm sure I'll have lots of funny stories about that next week.
In the midst of all of the chaos, Reese has for some reason decided not to sleep. I haven't been able to figure out why yet and it's killing us all! She is known to have tummy aches so I've been very careful about what I feed her and I have given her some Motrin in case it's teething pains. So far, none of that has helped and we are going on night 5 of less than 3 hours sleep...that's including naps. I'm living off diet coke and I think for once Robert is happy to leave for work :) Any suggestions for getting her to sleep are welcome - this is definately a time when I wish grandparents were closer. But it's like my mom always says "This too shall pass!"
And we are still anxiously awaiting baby Mason!! It's getting soo close...not to put any pressure on Crissy or anything :)

Sweet Baby Blues
Today we had our first appointment with the pediatric opthamologist, Dr. Zane. He confirmed Reese has a closed tear duct, which is what we had assumed, but basically that causes all of the junk in her eye corner. Since it hasn't opened on its on he suggested a small outpatient procedure. So... Reese will be having her first surgery mid-October =( I am very nervous!! He seems to be a really great (and patient) doctor with a wonderful staff. By the time we left today Reese was running the nurses station! Also, it will be at the Children's Hospital of Atlanta which is supposed to be the best of the best!! Anyway, just keep her in your prayers!
We had a very trying morning...getting out in the flash floods, 2 hours in the doctors office - of course, 1 hr and 15 mins were in the waiting room (which any mom knows how hard it is to entertain a small child in a confined area!) but my lunch date more than made up for it! A lot of people assume that stay at home moms can go and do as they please - Any women who has tried to shop with a small child or spent their meal fighting a screaming child knows how not true that is!! Most days I barely get a shower in before 3 (if at all), everyone else is busy at work and I use nap times to embrace the silence. But today it was just Chil-Fil-A, me and Reese and we had the best little time! Since she was so upset after the doctor and I didn't want to drive in the rain we popped in to a Chil-Fil-A with a play-place. Reese was so happy to be out of the apartment and running around. With all of the rain we haven't played outside in over a week. Her dessert was apple juice, she normally can only have water or milk. The most precious point of the day was when she eyed the little juice box and started signing please. As I pulled out the mini straw she couldn't control her excitement and started grunting, yes grunting!! I think we entertained everyone there. I was so happy I had the time to sit there and just take it all in. I didn't have to go back to work, she doesn't have school, we had no where to be. I realized it won't be like this forever.

Two Peas In A Pod
Cabe and Reese: BFF!!
I'm beginning to think Nicole and I are going to pay for our raisings with these two =) They are too entertaining for words! Cabe just doesn't understand why "baby Reese" lives so far away. But they do get to catch up on their little phone chats. They just gab to each other, like they really know what the other is saying! Yesterday Cabe said if Reese would come over he would let her drive his gator! Oh boy!!
This is a video of Reese and Cabe playing with dad. It's a little dark but make sure you turn on the volume!
Atlanta Aquarium
Atlanta has a huge aquarium! We have gotten to go a few times. At first, Reese was more interested in chasing bigger kids around but the last few times she has really been awed by the fish! It was really neat to watch each time we went how she notices more details. If you ever have a chance to go, it's amazing!! (and call us! We will go with you.)
Playing in the park
We have really enjoyed strolling to the to the park this summer. Reese has made lots of little friends. She just runs around hugging other kids. One time she hugged a little boy and she was so happy but he just started balling crying!
She gets so excited when we get to the park! As soon as I let her out of the stroller she runs toward the play area squilling! This video is lacking but you can get the picture!

First Birthday!! June 21, 2009
Reese turned ONE in June!! It definately didn't seem like a whole year! We had a small pool party in Covington with family. Reese got way too much stuff =) She is a very blessed little girl! She loved her cake. Before we even noticed she had eaten almost all of her "smash" cake!! She was covered head-to-toe so we just dropped her straight into the pool. She had so much fun with all of the snacks and swimming...at the sacrifice of Mary Jane's phone! Sorry Mary...
Go Braves!!
We have had a really relaxing summer. We went to quite a few Braves' games!! Reese really enjoys visiting with everyone and clapping when the other teams scores!
NEW POSTS!!
I have been such a BAD blogger!! But I'm going to try to start doing better. Time just goes by way to fast...it's already September! Reese is so big (15 months this weekend) and has developed quite the personality.
So I guess I need to pick up where I left off - 5 months ago! She started walking around 10 months and was wobbling around at the wedding. If anyone is looking for a "special" dress, we got Reese's from McCall Wilder. She is a wonderful lady here in Atlanta that makes the sweetest, most amazing little clothes. Check her out http://www.mccallwilder.com/ - It is definately worth it!!
While Robert and I went to Jamaica, Reese spent the week with my parents in Covington. She always enjoys herself at Su-Su's. Between Mary Jane, Mom and Dad and Anna Laura she tends to get spoiled :) We also got to spend Easter in Tennessee. Reese was actually terrified of the Easter bunny/egg hunting but we still enjoyed being home.
Also, wedding pictures are up at www.RHBrides.com
