Twitter

Reese slept a whopping 2 hours last night! Just when I thought those days were behind us :( I'm not really sure what's going on with her. We thought it might have been a tummy ache but then this morning she has a snotty nose. She has been playing happily this morning so maybe it was just a fluke.

Anyway, since I was up all night watching the Fresh Beat Band and 102 Dalmatians I did some blog stalking. Yes, blog stalking! It's actually pretty interesting. I guarantee you can find more useful information blog stalking than facebook stalking! I added one blog to our list on the side, "going Home To Roost" It's a friend of a friend's. This girl is truly talented and is always posting something cool!

I also looked at a friend's work blog... they had a little tid bit I found crazy!!

A new ad campaign from Hewlett-Packard printers uses clever comparisons to show the actual scope of Twitter – for example, “If you printed Twitter, it would weigh 3.50 million pounds, equivalent to the weight of 82 school busses fully loaded with 84 happily tweeting kids."

Just thought some of our tweeting friends might find that interesting.

Monday is the new Sunday

So let me explain. We used to call Sundays "Sunday FunDay!" (originally named by Brittany Shook :) ) because we liked to take Reese to do something fun she would enjoy. We usually try to stroll, go to the park or to the mall, just the three of us go do something! But lately it has been so rainy on the weekends that Sundays have turned into lazy nap days. Robert and I enjoy those but I think Reese gets a little stir crazy! Anyway, I have kind of unofficially named Mondays as Reese days for she and I until it gets warmer.

Last Monday we went to the zoo, which was a blast! Reese always likes to watch the other kids more than the animals but this time the giraffes were running around like crazy so she actually watched them. I'll even admit they impressed me!

Today was our second Monday celebration. We had planned on going to the aquarium but I got a late start to the day and it just wasn't coming together...one of those mornings! So instead we went to Borders. Many of you know Reese loves dogs. Any size, shape, color! She stops dead in her tracks when she hears our neighbor's dog bark or even sees one in a commercial. I thought she would enjoy getting a book all about puppies and we have a nice bookstore right around the corner. Anyway, we had the whole kids corner to ourselves and got to browse and play for a while. It was really neat to see Reese picking out books I can remember reading when I was little: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Hungry Caterpillar, Freight Train.

We ended up getting Doggies by Susan Boynton. She has a great collection of cardboard books that are fun and very durable!! A definite necessity for any child :)

After that we went by Target and Toys-R-Us and stopped by the park on the way home. We didn't stay long at the park; it was so windy and still muddy from the weekend. Reese fell getting off the slide and was not very happy about the dirt on her pants. We rounded out the day with tacos for dinner - Reese's fav! She is so entertaining at this age I just love getting that much quality time!!

In honour of everything puppy today, we added "The Daily Puppy" to the side. It will show a new puppy each day! (Something probably only we will ever look at but that's what its all about...Reese!!)

Glitter

Many of you have seen and admired Reese's "glitter" shoes. They have been some of our favorites; stylish, versatile, comfy...
But sadly, their end is nearing. Today, I was dressing her for the park when I realized somehow she has scuffed a flat spot onto the toe (if you look closely you will notice in the picture). I mean the previously curved toe of the shoe is now FLAT, all designs smeared off!! My guess, she really likes to drag that one foot when we push her in the Cozy Coupe.
Another small reminder our baby is growing up. And that we have had a lot of fun :)

A High of 48

Doesn't sound very warm but considering that is 30 degrees higher than last week we were excited!! Reese and I are definately warm weather people so we took advantage of the sunny highs this week. It was really the first chance since Christmas that we could take her bike outside. Sometimes we push her around inside but we can only make so many laps before it get boring! Anyway, I pushed her around the neighborhood and she loved it!!

This was a Christmas gift from the Browers. It is a little Radio Flyer tricycle but, the cool thing, it has a handle off the back so I can push her and turn the bike!

We also got to enjoy some time at the park! I personally can not wait for spring!!

All is good in the hood :)

So it has taken a little while for the Browers to get back in the swing of things since the holidays but I think we are finally starting to catch up! Reese had a pretty bad funk last week and another ear infection but she has recovered wonderfully... See ya snotty nose!
It is 11 days late but we are starting on some resolutions! (Better late than never?!) My big resolution is to start working out again. I have taken a major vacation from it since we went to the beach in August, but, I got up at 6:30 this morning for a run and I have to say I have been quite productive today! Let's just hope I can keep it up... As for Reese, her resolution...and I guess mine too...is to kick the potty training in high gear!! She goes to the bathroom when we ask and gets really excited when she does go potty, we just need to work on going more until finally NO DIAPERS!! Ahh, I can't wait! I think as soon as we really start to take it serious, i.e. making her go to the potty 50x a day, she will catch on fast. It is just rather exhausting :) I need some encouragement and, obviously this is my first attempt at potty training, any advice will be more than welcome!! I'll keep everyone updated.
Other than that, there isn't much going on in Atlanta. We have no big plans until the end of the month so we are looking forward to a few relaxing weeks.
A little side note - I posted a new blog to the side under "Reese's Favorite Blogs" called Bring The Rain. I'm sure some have already seen it but to those of you who haven't I highly suggest reading it. The original story is honestly indescribable but I find her daily/weekly post really inspirational. She seems to be a very wise woman and we could all stand to know a few more of those!

Su-Su to the rescue!!

My mom, the wonderful lady she is, kept Reese the week between Christmas and New Year. It is always such a wonderful break for me!!! More than anyone will probably ever know!! I don't even feel that guilty because I know Reese has an absolute blast!! Her aunts spoil her rotten and Cabe teaches her so many new things...ha ha!!

There is nothing better than a nice little break from the mommy world to really appreciate Reese and all of the funny things she does. This week has been amazing!! I have a new refreshed approach to Reese and its been good for us both!!

She always seems so much bigger when she comes back. I put her hair in pigtails for the first time Monday :)
Soo A-dorable!!

Here are a few things she has been doing since staying with mom and dad:

1. Crying with her hand over her mouth. Fake crying that is. I think she thinks putting her hand over her mouth adds drama and makes it more affective.

2. Shaking her head so her hair goes every which direction...Mary Jane I heard you were to blame.

3. Jumping on every peice of furnature...Cabe...

4. Randomly taking her clothes off...don't even want to know....

and last...

5. Working on her jeep (a little pink barbie jeep) without a shirt on!! hmm.....

At least she does it in fashion, that is a pink glitter head band she is wearing. God love her!

West Tennessee for Christmas

There is just nothing like going home for the holidays! (Even if that means making a Christmas Eve road trip.) We left Christmas Eve afternoon as soon as Robert got off work and made it to my parents in time to hang out, eat too much candy and wrap a few last minute gifts before bed time.

We had a packed visit. We spent Christmas morning with my parents, brother, sisters and all of the kids. Our family has grown quite a bit in the recent years! As usual, when we all get together its a loud but fun time! We managed to keep little Katherine awake for most of it :) We did lunch at my Mudders and then dinner back at my parents house with my mom's side of the family. We literally ate the entire day...but it was yummy!! The day after Christmas we went to Memphis to see the Brower's and Robert's grandparents. It never seems like we visit long enough!

I'm just going to have to give a mass Thank You to everyone this year!! Reese (and Robert and I) got soo many wonderful things it was hard to keep track of everything! She has enjoyed playing with everything (especially since it has been way to cold to go outside this last week!!)

Sadly I don't have many pictures since I left my memory stick in Atlanta, after making sure multiple times I charged my camera... But Mary Jane has quite a few pictures I'll post once she sends them to me.

I really can't say enough about how wonderful it is to visit everyone and how incredibly blessed Robert and I feel. We always spend the drive back to Atlanta talking about how good it was to visit and how lucky we are. There is nothing like living 6+ hours away to realize how great family is!
